Position Summary: The Laundry Attendant is responsible for monitoring the emergency response system and following protocols for the same. This position is an integral part of the service team, supports the provision of a quality living environment for seniors, and ensures all common areas are monitored and kept neat and clean. In accordance with the Vibrant Advantage™ approach and philosophy, it respects client requests for privacy and choice when delivering services.
- Expected to exceed the expectations of all guests through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently and politely to all tenant requests, questions, concerns, and/or complaints.
- Complete all assigned tasks within the allotted time as outlined.
- Clean and maintain all common areas, including:
- Main Dining Room;
- Hallways;
- Wash kitchen rags, aprons
- Restrooms;
- Entrance areas;
- Activity room;
- Arts & Crafts room;
- Wine Bar;
- Sports lounge;
- Country kitchen;
- Workshop;
- Theatre;
- Restaurant
- Responsible primarily for setting up the continental breakfast buffet, making residents feel welcome, comfortable and well attended to. Stocking of food and cleaning up behind residents
- Ensures security and privacy of all tenants at all times, including monitoring of the emergency response system.
- Adheres to WHMIS protocols and infection control guidelines when performing job functions and maintains MSDS.
- All other duties as assigned.
- WHMIS certificates required.
- Previous experience in hospitality or senior living is preferred.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Strong awareness of environmentally sound practices.
- Comfortable working alone or in a team environment, self-directed approach, able to plan, and organize with minimal supervision.
- Ability of meeting the physical requirements of the position.
