Position Summary: As a Server, you will be an integral part of the hospitality team by providing exemplary dining service within dining rooms and designated service areas in accordance with the Vibrant Advantage philosophy. Through friendly, attentive hospitality and exceptional customer service, you’ll help create meaningful dining experiences for residents and guests.

Schedule: Casual/on-call availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Compensation: $20.68/hr

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dining rooms and designated service areas for meal service, provide dining support to residents and guests, and complete duties following service.
  • Take meal and beverage orders and fulfill resident requests in accordance with established policies, procedures, and Serving it Right guidelines.
  • Handle and serve food in compliance with sanitation standards, Food Safe practices, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Respond promptly, professionally, and courteously to resident questions, concerns, requests, and feedback.
  • Take ownership of resident concerns and follow through to ensure a positive dining experience and high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, glassware, and other dining service items; assist with light food preparation and plating of soups, salads, entrees, and desserts as needed.
  • Communicate maintenance or repair needs to the Maintenance team and/or Hospitality Manager.
  • Follow WHMIS procedures, infection prevention protocols, and MSDS guidelines while performing cleaning and sanitation duties.
  • Maintaining compliance with all Health & Safety policies and procedures, and supporting ongoing Risk Management initiatives.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in dining, hospitality and/or full-service senior living preferred.
  • WHMIS Certification and First Aid Certificate are assets.
  • Serving it Right Certification and Food Safe Certification are required.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to multitask.
